Geez… I can not believe it has already been a year since Shilo was first diagnosed with cancer. Sometimes it feels like forever and I miss her so much, then other times I sware it was yesterdays and the tears flow. I still have the wall of Tripawd hero’s on my wall including Codie Rae, Nove, Caria Sue, Maximutt, Cemil, Zues. and of coarse Jerry.
On the good news front, we went and adopted through the animal shelter a new girl. Her name is Hope, and that is what she gave us. She is a funny girl with her own quarks and personality.
I finally think that I am strong enough to help others and give the support that I lacked for a long time. I can’t again tell you how thankful I was for this site in a time that I needed support. It was a life saver and I hope that I can be a part of the future. 🙂

Thanks for checking in, and congratulations on the new addition to your pack. We’re certain any advice and support you have to offer in the discussion forums will be greatly appreciated.

Shilo, my little sis
Did I not send you a picture. Lazy me!
Great to hear from you – I often think of Shilo. Her picture and the other tripawd cohort is temporarily dismantled due to home reno, but she will feature prominently again sometime soon.
I know what you mean about sometimes seeming long and many times seeming short. I can remember our journey last fall incredibly vividly, and you were part of that.
We’d love to hear more about Hope.

Alicia, we can’t believe it’s been a year either. Tripawds leave strong impressions on our souls, that’s something that never, ever goes away.
Congratulations on your new pack member, we can’t wait to hear more about her. You are both always a part of this family OK?
Hugs, many, many hugs.

I think of you too, off and on, and wonder how you’re doing. I’m glad to hear about Hope and the hope she’s bringing you. Looking forward to pictures and stories!
